On my 69 Bee, bought replacement wheel for the dimmer switch, also need to remove corrosion and restore...easiest method to remove the shaft and re-install? I'm betting someone has experience with this and no need for me to re-invent the wheel (pun intended)...

I just rebuilt mine. I used bolt and nut to replace the pins... my memory sucks, but I think 6-32 screws. I put the dash back together last weekend, and I wish I had taken pictures of the switch. Sorry.

"Tubular rivet". Easily replaced with same, or a soft AN470 rivet of the appropriate diameter and length.

I think I have some of the AN470's, will check it out. Got it apart at the moment and cleaning and removing the corrosion, etc.

Dang! Wish I would've asked the forum before I did the nut & bolt thing. Thanks Wayne.
