If casinos where honest

I use to fly into Vegas 3-4 times a year for work, these days it's slowed to once a year... In the past 30 plus years I haven't dropped a dime in a machine or on a table... I have enjoyed the food, a few drinks.. I've enjoyed wandering up & down The Strip & Fremont Street, gone to a few shows.... I'm not the tourist/client they are looking for...

I have a $20 limit on gambling other than friendly poker night.

That usually lasts about 15 minutes.

My BIL OTOH, is usually $300 up in the same amount of time, playing the same games.

...and then loses it all or mostly all in the next 30 minutes.

Well i said it's very funny but its also very true.
I have a few friends that like to gamble so i've been to quite a few casinos over the years.
In fact my best friend is a huge gambling fan and flys to vegas 1-2 times a year. Without him i would not have been to vegas probably.

Anyway i noticed relatively fast that you can't win (no matter what "system" you use) and in my opinion the casinos even cheat/scam you. (I'm not talking about the house edge) So when i go to a casino i just play with small amounts / for the fun knowing that i will most likely loose.

IMHO The only way to make money with gambling is being the casino.
That's why i bought a couple gambling stocks last year. Out of the 12 different stocks i bought 2 of them are gambling stocks and they are amongst the best performing of them all. :D

Here are a couple more funny videos from the guy:

I've been in my local casino about four times in this past week. Dropped between $7 and $11 each time. (Either two burgers, or fish and fries and a burger). The food is excellent, the gambling not so much.
Used to bowl in Vegas leagues, as an excuse to go to Vegas with friends. Always had a much better chance of winning money on the lanes than the tables.

That's good for you.
Last time i've been to Casino Seefeld in Austria. Casino Seefeld » Welcome | Casinos Austria: casinos.at
There you have to pay 27 bucks in order to get in alone and then there is no free food or drinks. :D
(Well you get 30 bucks in chips but you have to gamble with those.)
Pretty much the case for all casinos in germany and austria. (No free food)
As far as i know that's pretty much the case for all i can reach by car except those in the czech republic and not all but some of those really do have excellent food aswell.

How long have you been doing that? You think they tolerate this behavior long term? I mean you're picking up "excellent" meals for 7-11$ 4 times a week.

Edit:

I do not remember the name (would have to ask my friend) of the casino in the czech republic that had REALLY great food. But i think you had to pay extra for the food there aswell.

My dear-departed mother liked to gamble on occasion and would take her to area Indian casinos. Lost interest gambling some years ago. Talk about funny stuff; well maybe not so much: Never wanted to go around the time entitlement checks were out. Sad to see some of those dumping their cash into machines, sweating, banging on the machines, swearing, among the wafting body odors. Would hear the infrequent giddy yelling from someone hitting a jackpot – very infrequent. One casino reported 72 million in net profit its 1st year open. Nice huh, with the vision of the massive numbers of people minus a pot to piss in, dumping their money?

Get a kick out of the commercials for this casino I’m referencing. The people are all young, pretty, laughing, dressed like they’re going to a wedding. NOT what I’ve viewed.

Taxes from winnings? Same deal with lottery winner’s considering the amount of that taken in taxes. Lol, biggest winner – da gov-ment!
