I have looked through a few of the posts about the rear window trim clips but haven't seemed to find what I'm look for. Is a recommendation of where to get the correct and good quality Rear window trim clips ? The car I am assembling had none in it when it was taken apart and I would really like to get quality clip's so I'm not putting the window in multiple times because of poor quality trim clip's. Thank you everyone one in advance for your help

I walked into the garage yesterday and saw this on my car. Apparently the trim was not installed correctly and it was glued down. I am at a loss as to how to repair this so looking for any suggestions. I thought these trim pieces were retained by clips?

They are retained by clips and I can see same in the picture both just below the upper trim and one in the corner. That said the trim must really have a twist in it to pop out from under the one above it. I'd take that section right off the car and work the twist out of it, then reinstall. Let me go looking for pics when I had mine off, so I can show clip locations.

Sorry, looks like I only pulled my top twisty sections to straighten, but like I said above your passenger bottom piece must have a severe twist in it to pop out from under the upper. Tape shows clip locations on the top pieces. At least your popped section should be an easy re and re as it's the overtop piece at lower bottom center of the trim.

The problem was that the piece that popped up was not installed under the piece above it. To me it looks like it slides in. But there are no clips in that area. I assume they were broken and that is the reason for the adhesive

I'll say it one more time. There are two clips clearly shown there in your picture. MY picture with the tape on the glass shows there is also a clip just above the side joint on the upper section.

Take the twist out of the trim. Slide it under the side joint and then snap it back into place on top of the lower center joint.

You cannot replace clips without pulling the glass and breaking it is a $10000 problem... so don't!

Today I was able to pull the lower corner a bit which gave me enough room to slide the trim piece into the upper piece, which was not done previously. Thanks for the info on the window trim
