I wonder what the Chrysler engineers would have come up with if they decided to build their own carburetor design, like Ford and GM did. Back in the Trans-Am racing days the rules called for a single 4bbl carb, but didn't specify a particular design. Ford responded with a 1425 cfm. inline four barrel.

This car has set next to me a few times at cruise get togethers. I like the color. Hood look familiar.

Went to Connecticut Dragway to watch a match race between Rhode Island's Tasca Ford's Bill Lawton and Dick Landy in his Challenger. Lawton was running a pair of those, mistook them for injectors. Lawtons car flexed a lot, tube chassis?? Landy's car when he was heating the tires (this s before smoky burnouts) front end would come very little flex. Ol' Billie went went down 3 straight. Lawton was a good stocker racer and ran funny cars.
