Assuming that is really what the purpose of that tank was - why the heck would they waste a tank chassis to mount it on? A heavy or at least medium tank chassis from the looks of it too. You would think they could have mounted it on a heavy truck chassis and use the tank chassis for what they were short of - tanks, tank destroyers and assault guns. Guess that’s part of the reason they lost.

OK - so they actually were a howitzer. I thought the big barrel was some form of acoustical barrel for the howler.
