Assuming that is really what the purpose of that tank was - why the heck would they waste a tank chassis to mount it on? A heavy or at least medium tank chassis from the looks of it too. You would think they could have mounted it on a heavy truck chassis and use the tank chassis for what they were short of - tanks, tank destroyers and assault guns. Guess that’s part of the reason they lost.
 
Definitely have not read 222 pages of this forum, so if this is a repeat forgive me.
I have been watching this guy's videos on youtube and this one was pretty fascinating, and real.
 
The book on the tank crew featured there, leading up to that tank battle at Cologne and aftermath is a superb read (Spearhead).
