Me too.
I've been amazed at how some stuff was still standing after pulling drywall and/or stucco and seeing the horribly substandard construction. I was trained to build stuff to withstand minor earthquakes. Numerous times on remodel side jobs, I've seen stuff that would get a guy fired immediately.
