Things you must know if you move to the South

Oh my, that brings back some memories. Scrapple is sooo good for breakfast!! I surely wish it was available locally in the Dallas area. Last time I had any was 5 yrs ago in northern Virginia. Growing up in Maryland, it was always in the fridge.

Breakfast at a diner usually the best: eggs and scrapple OR pork roll: Pancakes with scrapple SWIMMING in syrup with toast/english muffin in the side loaded with butter.

Two ironic sources back in the day.
Look up Capricorn records for the "Macon" reference.

(I refuse to acknowledge the one by David Crosby and Nash. :poke:)

She said, 'Hello sun, good mornin' Daytona
You're sure lookin' good to me
With your ocean breeze and your tall palm trees
And your southern hospitality'
Now she's a knockout queenie in a string bikini
She's drivin' all the boys insane
And this all started with a small town dream
And a ticket on a southbound train
'Cause she had a fire burnin' deep inside
Ridin' on a southbound train
And the clickity-clack of that railroad track
Only helps to fan the flames
No more worries, no more cares
She left them up in Bangor, Maine
Yeah she likes the boys with the southern drawl
Soakin' up the sunshine, havin' a ball
She'll be the first to tell you that she owes it all
To ridin' on a southbound train
Whoa...oh...

Great not very well known version of Don Nix song.

You NJ folks (like @eldubb440 ) are gonna need to extoll the virtues of that "pork roll" stuff to me.
I've been thinking about having a roll of it shipped down here for a try, but have no idea what it's like -
what, like pork bologna or something?
Is Taylor the one to get?
