The whole thing is crazy. First, years ago, it couldn't be newer than a 1971 and two doors only. Then two door anything, maybe add in a 4 door, here or there if you took off the back door handles. As they get harder to find now and funds are getting tight due to the cost to buy now, anything is likeable. I've always enjoyed wagons and I've seen some very nice four doors.I miss seeing these big old station wagons. Had a couple (next gen on from this one) and wouldn’t mind finding one in nice shape one day if I can also find the funds
I got into the 4 door Imperials in the 90s because I thought the B body hardtops were getting too expensive. Got into a rust free, completely operable '62 for $1700, had the drive line from radiator to drive shaft rebuilt for under $6000, and drove it for 90,000 miles. Would cost way more today, but still relatively affordable compared to the two door B bodies. The whole thing is crazy. First, years ago, it couldn't be newer than a 1971 and two doors only. It's always about the money!! I talk about money all the time and for a good reason, without it, enjoying the sweet taste of a wife takes on a new new meaning, pass me a fork........
