The "air accelerator" concept. It take very little air in actuality to create a mild "boost" condition. It just needs to be at sufficiently high pressure.

My wife loves Snoopy from Peanuts. I made a custom Snoopy dog house for her for Christmas. It lights up at night.

Yeah, I screwed up on this one. It actually is a Mercury, after all. I thought the letters on the hood were possibly "CH", as in Monarch. Also thought "Montclair" sounded too "Frenchy" to be a U.S. series. The dual headlights could be '57 or '58, depending on where they were sold. Some states still did not allow dual headlights in 1957, but this was cleared up by 1958. I have seen some 1957 Chryslers and DeSotos the same way. Some have single headlights, while others have duals. Further research turned up that Ford of Canada did not actually produce any 1958 Monarchs. That spot on the sales ladder was replaced by the new, hyped Edsel. Once it was realized that the Edsel was going to be a huge flop, the Monarch was re-introduced for 1959 and 1960. I am sorry for the misinformation.

My friend had a 57 Monarch 312 4 bbl. Made a nice trip into North Dakota and Montana in 1967. He had paid about 300.00 for it. It had some sort of seat that adjusted automatically to the position of the last driver. IIRC I think the seat moved back when the power was shut off.
Heading eastbound through ND picked up a trooper with lights on way back. Because it was hilly over the next hill turned off the highway pulled into a ranch.Thinking of the grid system of roads 2 miles south and 1mile west. Not there. Waited for a long time. (Owners weren’t home) Had to go back to the Highway, fortunately the trooper was sitting on a hill east of us. Put the petal down, thinking that if we got to Montana first he would turn back. ( don’t know if he could have followed us into Montana or not) no speed limit. Running very fast. Went by a couple of guys in a 67 2dr Polara 2dr htp wearing hard hats for what reason. Pulled into get fuel somewhere. The Polara pulled in. Gas jockey said those are boarder patrol. Paid for the gas. One of them came over and asked if we new the speed limit. Buddy said we haven’t seen a sign. The guy said in the daytime, not at night, think night was 55mph.
