Torque Shaft Bushing Question

I'm working on my 1970 Roadrunner which is a column shift car. I'm going through all of the shifter linkage and bushings because they are junk!

I have located the torque shaft bushings that I need for one side. For the side that attaches to the transmission, it's got some kind of a steel core rubber bushing in it. Has anybody seen this before? I can't seem to locate a replacement for it.

I don't want to dig it out of there yet in case the plastic torque shaft bushing doesn't fit the hole and then I'm screwed.

I have attached photos of my one plastic bushing and the steel core rubber bushing that attaches to the transmission.

My 70 GTX had plastic bushings at both ends of the torque shaft like in your first pic.

I see they do show this piece with the plastic attached and not the rubber steel core like I have. It doesn't make any difference to me as long as the plastic will work in my bracket. I guess if it doesn't, I'll be buying this whole piece.

Ya, all the info I've seen has that plastic bushing on each end. Maybe I'll have to dig it out of there and see if the plastic one fits it.

This is the bushing you need. 2781420. Bushing is the same on both ends of the cross shaft.

When I was still trying to make my 383 Scamp a column shift, I came across plastic bushings Mopar used for many years.
This fits my 68 Road Runner too...

Will these also fit a 1966 Coronet automatic transmission shift linkage, both sides?
Pictures of my torque shaft brackets below. They look no different than later years.
Frame bracket has tan plastic bushing.
Transmission bracket has rubber grommet.

OK, here is my answer.
1966 & 1967 FSM, shift linkage diagrams are identical, including brackets. Logically, bushings like those on Post 8, see eBay link above, fit 1966, as well as 1967-1976.
However the eBay bushings do not look exactly like the original bushings, so I went on Van's Auto. Torque Shaft bracket bushings $8 each, link below

This looks the same as 1966 original. Also, I called Vans and spoke to Dwayne. He measured the bushings while I was on the phone. Bushing OD 7/8 inch at brackets, Bushing 1/2 inch ID at torque shaft. Exact same measures as 1967 and later.

Bushing removed from my torque shaft frame bracket. Same look and dimensions:

Trans bracket had a rubber grommet with a copper sleeve at the torque shaft, but dimensions are still same.
TF, I am confident the Vans bushings will work both sides. I ordered 2 for my 1966 Coronet. Hope this helps somebody.
