A friend of mine actually has a combination almost like that. It is a custom made 1938 International 1-Ton chassis with extended cab with a full width rear seat. It pulls a 1936 Curtiss 5th.- wheel house trailer. The interior is made with wooden cabinets, and the trailer is constructed of leather-like material stretched over framework, much like an airplane of the times. The 5th. wheel attachment is actually an air-filled airplane tail wheel, which insulates the truck chassis from any shocks from towing the goose-neck trailer. This custom set-up was made for the wealthy Gray family of Chatham, Ontario, who had manufactured the Gray-Dort automobile, some 20 years previous, in Chatham. Chatham was also the Canadian home of International Trucks, so the choice of chassis was easy. The family chauffeur drove the truck, while Mr. and Mrs. Gray rode on the spacious rear seat.
My friend owns and operates a 2- man restoration shop and restored the 1938 International himself. He is a competent mechanic, and performs full mechanical and body/paint restorations in his shop. Upon learning of the history of this unusual truck, he searched for, and found its matching trailer in a nearby town. The trailer was in deplorable condition, as I believe it was being used as a chicken coop. Ken completely tore this old trailer down and rebuilt it. He now displays this restored combination at local and (I)international shows. I wish I had a picture to post, as this is an impressive restoration.
