1966 Chevrolet SS396 in Butternut Yellow; pretty well the same colour as Daffodil Yellow on my 1967 Coronet R/T. 1966 was a rare year when all the intermediate cars of the Big 3 got a design change, without a dog in the whole bunch. 1967 gave us refinements of these designs. It would be hard to make purchase decisions in those two years.
The 57 chevy was fun. My friend had a 57 four door with fuel injection. 1964 and 65 Malibu and chevelle were great and all that followed were instantly excepted.1966 Chevrolet SS396 in Butternut Yellow; pretty well the same colour as Daffodil Yellow on my 1967 Coronet R/T. 1966 was a rare year when all the intermediate cars of the Big 3 got a design change, without a dog in the whole bunch. 1967 gave us refinements of these designs. In my opinion, other years, when stars aligned to give attractive cars, were 1932, 1940, 1957, and 1968. 1957 was interesting, where GM was ending a 3-year design phase, and Ford and Chrysler were just starting a new design.
