What's it Worth My friend's sister asked me to help price these cars. MG TD and a '76 Eldorado 'vert.

My friend died in 2013. He left his sister a couple of cars. Sounds like a rusty Eldorado, black, and an MG TD (green) that's disassembled. I don't have pictures, I think she lives some distance from the cars. I told her I'd try. I know this isn't much to go on. Restored Eldorados go for arounf $25k. But it might take $100k to get them there. I'm trying to find a starting point for her. Then she could post them on Barn Finds. Anybody got a guess.

The maintenance guy texted me becuase he knows I'm a car guy. Our company's riding mower is blowing smoke real bad. I know this means it's burning oil (I think.) So he wants me to take a look. I figured bad rings or a scored cylinder but... Any 4 stroke small engine guys out there that can make me look good? Is the some engine restore additive that can fix it? I dunno you tell me.

There's a running driving MG TD not far from me, he's asking 12.5 & it's been for sale for a couple months... Neat car but unless it's super nice not particularly valuable.. Delta V's $1500 might be a touch low but without knowing how "apart" it is & overall condition it could be all the money...

I believe the market for this is the UK, I do a descent amount of business over there, lots of variables but in general they aren't super valuable unless you put them in front of the right audience

If the car spent the last 70+ years in the UK you'd need a dustpan to pick it up.... They want to buy back their history...

lol, lots of rusty car over there for sure. Everything they built rusted badly back years ago, even when they were shipped here. Lucas electrical was a disaster, atleast for an American working on them. They are big into american cars also, you might be really surprised with all they collect from over here. Pretty crazy some of the cars I have shipped there that you would have never expected.

The bad thing is, many people
Said the same thing about muscle cars in the mid to late 70’s. I appreciate all old cars regardless, they all have a story

Even nice ones don't sell for much (not unlike the '79 Chrysler 300). It's a good price point of entry in the old car hobby.

Very true on the TD, but there are still many people that have sentimental attachments to them. Their 1st car, there dad or granddad worked at the factory and built them and so on. The Eldo without knowing more could be extremely valuable or extremely not. Ever price a 57 Eldo Brougham or 61 Eldo Biarritz? Nothing to sneeze at. Just a couple of examples
