LA Rocker arm placement

Anyone use the Factory Service Manual anymore ?
It was the car dealers repair/maintenance manual used to service the cars when new.

I do use the FSM when one is available and I appreciate the "MYMOPAR" link. I downloaded everything they have about a year ago. I miss some of the Mopar sites and the great info they provided that no longer available. However, sometimes you get mental overload and the discourse helps me to regain focus and remember stuff I forgot. Also sometimes you are just stunned and are at a loss which was the case when I started this thread four years ago. I had never seen lifters in the condition as pictured in post#8. You can see I was looking at the FSM but trying to make sense of the damage I was seeing.

The factory manual would probably have some better info than my Hanes manual, which I find quite frustrating to read.
But often I am dealing with non stock items. The wyring has been a disaster, and the local auto electric shop has been a great help. Edelbrock tech line helped with the choice of parts, all non stock. Members here might know more about roller rockers than the manual.
I have a few manuals for my Triumph motorcycle. They tell me to buy a complete float lever system to get the two O rings. They do not tell me that the 650 Suzuki uses the same carb, and the O rings can be bought separately.
So there are times I find that practical knowledge works well.
Just as Doug helped me with the 727 gearbox.
