68 charger front disc brake hoses?

Upon acquiring a 68 charger, previous owner installed new front disc brakes he believed were for 74 Duster. Unfortunately the front brake hoses are a bit too short, stressing on the fittings. In order to get longer hoses which will fit both the hard line and the caliper, what would i look for?

Are your caliper’s rear mounted?

If so, Something about 15” long.

Doctor diff sell’s hoses that are spec’s for 1969 camaro with disc brakes for this application. I’ve also ordered for 1969 camaro with disc brakes from rock auto and they fit well when using A body disc brakes on my 69 Belvedere. . They also have the fittings you need.

IF you can find a knowledgable parts guy to help you out at a store, IF the store has the picture book for the brake parts manufacture they sell, you may be able to come up with longer hoses of factory type[ rubber]. In the illustrations of the hoses, they will list them by part number/style/fitting type/ fitting sizes. With that info, they can possibly find you longer units. This is one of the many things I did when working at parts stores so I know it can be done. Just gotta have someone willing to do it and the store needs to have that illustration book.

That’s exactly what I’m saying, camaro with disc brakes not drum.

If you don’t like rock auto I’m sure your local store can look it up and provide them too. Or have them cross reference the number from your research from rock auto. I think they have 3 f]different brands. They’re probably all made in the same factory

Yah, that’s no good. I’d prefer to have the inlets at the bottom which you could accomplish by swapping the calipers from side to side. Being that the inlet and bleeder would be at the bottom they may be slightly harder to bleed. Some people get around that buy bleeding them not attached to the caliper mount with a block of wood between the pads and the bleeder facing up. Then reattach to the caliper mounts.
When doing these conversions I specify caliper for 85’ diplomat which can accomplish the inlet at the bottom and the bleeder at the top orientation. But yours are still usable just harder to bleed. I don’t care for the one that have the inlet and bleeder so close to each other

Here’s an example of a diplomat spec caliper. You can see the inlet and bleed opposed to each other.

I suppose I’ll have to bleed the brakes all over again once new hoses installed….
Will i be able to just bleed the fronts? Or have to do all 4 again?

Axis 1 is overall. You should be able to just bleed the fronts. Pass side first
