I'm sure I'm not the first to ask about this but I have a 66 Coronet I've upgraded to a 440 and 727 from a Slant six and 904. What i need to know is the linkages and everything that runs from the arm on the column in the car down to transmission itself do i need all new linkages or can i simply replace the single linkage nearest the transmission with this one I found online

This link is to a more complete kit but im not sure if that's all I would need. If I need to replace everything.

Both of your links are for 4 speed manuals, not for 904/727 automatics.

I can't answer your question but i can tell you for sure, those parts you posted are for a833 manual 4 speed transmissions and definitely aren't what you need.

Here are a couple linkage sets on ebay. One says its for 904 and the other says for 727. They look similar to me but there must be a difference. Others here can probably tell you more.

Thank you I've been looking this up for a while and getting nowhere that looks like what I need.

Here's one for sale by a member. Doesn't say if it came off a 904 or 727 though but you could ask.

I would mock it up and see wnat you need, before spending dime one. I went the other way On a car years ago, but I remember it as being straight forward, without buying any parts. You will also have to address throttle and kickdown linkage.

I'm not 100% sure on the slant 6 but the 318 to B or RB all the column shift linkage fit .
The vertical trans rod from the bottom bell crank to the top one I had to add a inch to for clearance on the rear of the valve cover.
As long as you have the old style linkage with threaded rods and ends and adjustable trans linkage with the lock down bolt you should be good.
