What's it Worth Best way to sell a Superbird?

Hello my B body brothers. I’m from the a body side of the isle but figured this forum would be better suited than forabodiesonly.

Ran across someone in an unrelated forum who inherited an unrestored Superbird with 54k miles on it. What would be the best avenue for a sale like this? Private buyer or auction house?

Bring-a-trailer might be worth looking into.

Big auction houses might end up fleecing you or holding the car for their own pleasure.

Have a go at advertising here at FBBO - there are some with deep pockets......and word spreads fast on this site to the outside world.

FABO guys are more interested if it is under 3-grand and has a 318 in it.

I was all about that slant six life buddy. Leaning tower of power was perfect for me at 16 years old. That was many moons ago.

I don’t necessarily want to make a for sale post because I’m not the seller and my knowledge of the car is very limited. Seems like a cool find though.

99% of the population think the Superbird is ugly and likely don't know what they are.

The rest of us would crawl over broken glass to get a chance to buy one that appears to be unrestored like the one here.

I don’t know if instructing a stranger to put this car on a trailer is a good idea. I don’t want to see it get damaged.

Big bucks are big bucks!!!!

And Carlisle is where the BIG BUCKS will be....and no BS auction fees to deal with.

Heck....the money saved from any potential auction fees could hire a decent roll-back to haul it there.....and back if needed.

But I got a feeling if that car made it to Carlisle, it'd be going home with somebody else.....

They know not to wash it at this point. What would I high reserve be for a wing car nowadays. I stopped watching Mecum and BJ probably 10 years ago when these wing cars were going for around 250k.
