It's not Black, it's weathered old metal with some overspray. Probably more correct than any restoration. Lynch Road tags were hung from a visor mount hole and lucky to get overspray, especially on a vinyl top car...

That is a perfect unrestored never lifted tag for a superbird/lynch road car. Exactly how it should look.
