I know other years had these said markings on the ends of the valve covers to indentify engine assys

Did 1966 also have them , If so, anyone have pictures of such

Reason, I ask.
Tony D's 6000 mile car appears had nothing 1966 Plymouth Hemi Satellite For Sale At Auction - Mecum Auctions

This low miles 1966 Coronet 500 conv, also,,,,shows nothing.
Although I am semi familiar with the Coronet as its from the area I grew up and it has some race history in its past . So Im not sure I could count on it for fine details

That's a super nice car. Just wondering what's up with the dash knob holes.. different from one of my 66 50 verts.. and one missing??

I don't show any remnants of marking. But I have paint marks on drivers valve covers like Tony's.

My drivers side valve cover has paint smudge. and my negative battery end has orange paint on it.

My spark plug wire valve cover boots have wet paint marks as do the spark plug boot extensions.

the wires and actual plug boots have been replaced

My original fuel pump lever arm has orange paint from when the factory installed it on the wet engine.

Thanks Steve

Im not 100% convinced there should or shouldn't be said markings

Ive already done the painted Neg cable thing
I dont see me recreating the orange paint smudge on the valve cover and be able to pull that off where it looks right, so odds are I'll forego that.

I have what I believe to be the original fuel pump.
I'll have to find it and look it over for comparisons sake.

ps, Yes I know the spark plug wire bracket should be engine color.
But I was out of paint, so I just cleared it an moved on ( last years project )

pss, Pwr str was added during restoration and is a Saginaw system I have some ( little ) interest in correcting / changing to TRW / Federal system

When I had carbs off again to do the intake gasket, I noticed the black painted stripe on the green front carb spring. Take a look at that.

My car is St Louis built shipped date is June 2, 1966

Although engine assemblies were done at Mercury Marine, correct?

Do they sell that same repro spring for all Street Hemis?

Are you talk about knobs on drivers side? 66 cars built before January 1 1966 had no flasher hole, if that's what your asking.
Thanks Fran, this is what I'm talking about; it has headlight, wiper, and flasher. What's the empty hole to the left. My top switch is on the left side, the hemi coronet is on passenger side too.
