So, for $18.55 I can look like a total dweeb. Wait! Where do I get those awesome shoes?
In today's money, it would be five times that much to look that screwed up!! Today you would be asked to visit your mental health clinic if you were caught looking like that!!

After I got accepted to law school in 1980, my wife told me it was time to upgrade from my truck driver's wardrobe. She hauled me into the local mens shop where the frat guys shopped, and $400 later, I was wearing a tailor made suit. High price to look better than the outfits pictured. I got smarter in later years, and bought high quality suits in resale shops, paying under $100.

I've done my share of dressing for the job through the years. Slacks, dress shirt and tie as a corporate controller, suit and tie as a financial advisor, button down shirt and khakis as a built-in home theater and stereo salesman (in new construction), overalls and hard hat as a soil remediation contractor, work jeans and whatever as a house flipper, and now socks and underwear as a landlord. Sorry, no pics.

If you ever see me in shorts and a tie.......

I own one suit.

It's a "Chaps" from right after Ralph Loren split.

It's real nice and I've gotten several compliments, even from a former professional suit salesman.

It was on the discount rack at Kohls. IIRC I paid 50 bucks.

As long as I can help it I will never own another one.
