What's your view of improper rebadging a car ?

Go for it! Had a 68 road runner coupe that was dressed out in full exterior GTX trim lots of years ago. What's the big deal about that? No coupes were built as a GTX. GTX's were hard tops only but no one put 2 and 2 together. If they did, no one ever said anything to me about it...

Not 62 but if you just want sport fury

As long as you're not changing the VIN or faking documentation or something like that (i.e. fraud), I say go for it.

Go for it. Just don't sell it as a one of one.:rofl::rofl:
I called my R/T wagon One of None!

My son had a friend with a Plymouth Neon and slapped these badges on the side....we thought it looked just fine.

Me and my trusty hacksaw. Bigger job was grafting the faux scoops ahead of the side R/T sign from a 2-door quarter panel into the rear doors. 4-door Coronets did not have this feature. There were a lot of tricks on this car; Hurst shifter under the floor, with stock Inland lever grafted to it, "Buddy" seat, 22" rad opening enlarged to 26" for correct rad, rear sway bar, no-snorkel unsilenced air cleaner, front disc brake conversion, Cordoba cruise control, '67 GTX cas cap.

I made my own version of a Little Red Express. 400 e.gine,4wd,extended cab. I had fun building it and had many comments on it. Had to sell it 12 years ago when we moved. Sort of miss it.

It was always cool to yank /6 and 318's and put in 383, 426 and 440's. A fast Belvedere was always better than a slow Road Runner.

It was NEVER cool to rebadge a car.

People that rebadged cars were posers, pretentious or ignorant 'look at me' guys.

yeah I understand, that why I'm asking for opinions..thanks...I may keep the orginal body emblems, and add a small sport fury emblem on the dash...thoughts ?

There's badging because you like it and there's badging to make people think the car is something different than it is. I think you're in the first category.

Then, what about the guys that dump in the 440 and keep the 318 badge? What are they?

If you keep the 318 badges, it will most likely stop people with performance engines wanting to see if they can cross the intersection with a light before you do.
Those people are helping to reduce temptation and possibly save someone money in fines.
To answer your question, they are solid conscientious citizens!!!

Let's see how bad the original badges are. A little bit of testors paint goes a long ways sometimes.
