The White Lady is a large white Food caravan that is towed around the city of Auckland providing hot food for those who venture out at night. :drinks:

The U.S. Military Was Full of Baseball Legends​

A Hollywood Icon Invented a Torpedo Guidance System​

Austrian-born actress Hedy Lamarr was already a movie star in Hollywood as World War II was looming in Europe. In 1942, in an effort to help the fight against fascism, Lamarr helped invent a novel torpedo guidance system called “frequency hopping,” which allowed for long-range weapons guidance that was resistant to torpedo jamming from the enemy. While the U.S. Navy ultimately decided against using Lamarr’s invention in the war effort, her ingenuity didn’t go to waste. The frequency-hopping technology laid the foundation for future technologies such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and in 2014, Lamarr was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame.

This is old info, so things may have changed. But the state forests are quite impressive. They use Pacific trucks, made in BC Canada, 12 feet wide and pull three trailers.
 
The Civic theatre in downtown Auckland, sinks about half an inch per year. BUT, I have observed it over a period of more than fifty years, and it is not 2 feet below Queen Street, where it is located.
 
Tectonic plates movement in the south Pacific Ocean causes New Zaland to move closer to Australia by about 30mm (1-1/4") every year.

Yes, in the sane thinking and logical parts of the world, it is day, month, year. In Canada, they copy the US, but the insurance industry does it correctly.
