Yea... there is. Best get out the kleenex. So I've always been into Mopars, especially the B bodies. But the '69 Bee was my dad's favorite. He started a business back in the early 80s that, over the next decade or so, became very successful and he was able to buy one of his 2 dream cars... he selected the '87 Jag XJ6 over the Bee because of where he was in life at the time. Since then, over the years he and I would spend time together working on it, having a couple beers, maintaining it, repairing this and that from time to time and those were good times. But as he got older long after achieving grandpa status, he had talked about selling the Jag and picking up a Bee that we could both enjoy and do the same things to. Never got that chance as he passed 2 years ago in Feb. So yea.. it's kind of a bitter sweet thing... maybe call it fulfilling pop's dream I guess? I would welcome a Satellite, GTX, Coronet, etc. but there's something about a Bee that just makes it special to me. Plus my wife would kill me if I didn't get oneMikey, just curious.. is there a sentimental reason for wanting that particular car? i would think for 50kish you could find some pretty nice stuff.. if you don't need concours/numbers matching at least![]()

There you go. Thanks,
Mikey.
This one is nice and the money is right. 68 is a more desirable year too. Most parts can be easily found too for this year. I had a 68, that’s how I know. Rear tail lights were about the only thing I couldn’t find. If I were you I would definitely go look at this one. Watch the video, I can’t believe he smoked the tires. Seems like that right there gives him some points for honesty. Looks to be about an 8-10 hour drive for you. Make a weekend out of it. Take the camper.BTW.. for 15k less... i would go look at this, it's not perfect but not far off.. plus a more desirable color. and it's in Cali, you could take a road trip to see it

I would pass on that one at $42,500. It's a $25-30k car in a private sale surely.
- Black engine bay
- Rear lower window trim all over the shop
- Engine gone through "top to bottom" - and still looks like that?
- etc
Great car for a 20 year old who wants to do burnouts but for that money you could get a really good 66-67 car.
That’s a fantastic price for a true 68 Bee in this shape.Advertised elsewhere for $36,900

yeah, i'm not a purple fan on any car honestly.. but other people love it and his wife probably wouldBeing a standout color on the wrong car, not sure if more desirable applies.. depends on the beholder eye , I guess. But do agree 68 is a great year for the Bee
I've seen that one, thanks. I'm partial to '69s but I will definitely take a look at that one.
