I bought a 70 Satellite Sebring with a seized engine. I put a mixture of ATF and Marvel mystery oil in each cylinder. I want to get a socket on the main bolt in the front to rock the engine with some leverage to get it loose. I can't find the right size socket. I tried 1 and 1/16 and 1 and 1/8 and both were too small. I also have a 32mm socket which was too big. How can I find out what size that bolt head is?

Technically it's 98 ten thousandths of an inch bigger. So while it's less than blonde c- hair, it's still not  exactly the same. I agree.

This above and/or how worn it is. Trying to break that thing loose, not gonna work most likely

I'm seeing about 45 thou on the 1 1/4, and about 50 on the 32.

Wow.

I'm afraid you're right, but hope springs eternal that those extra 10,000ths might make the difference. Otherwise I gotta save my pennies for a new engine.

If the engine is out instead of doing it by the crank bolt you can use the flex plate. I have seen people weld straps on the flex plate close to the bolt holes so you can slide a pipe in and use a pipe to break it free. It was on an engine dolly...

its even easier if you use the old torque converter/leave it bolted to the flex plate/and then use a Large Long breaker bar inserted into the vertor Slot/snout Sideways to move the crank back and forth.

to the Op,make sure the plugs are all out and cylinders have oil or tranny fluid in them to soak.
