Carlisle Tent Activities 2025 - Volunteers Needed!

2025 Chrysler Nationals FxBO Tent Activities

First, the FxBO tent is located In the center aisle up from the grand stand. See yellow circle below.

Friday: Noon to 1PM
Bring your own lunch and hang out with other FxBO members. There will be water and beer available to drink - free as long as supplies last.

Saturday: Noon to 1PM
Picnic lunch to all FxBO members, plus water, soda, beer, meatball sandwiches, hot dogs, BBQ plus other stuff. All free as long as supplies last.
At about 1PM, I will raffle off some prizes to persons in attendance.

Available Friday and Saturday at the Tent
There will be a cooler there with water, beer and perhaps other beverages. If you are hot and need a drink or shade, stop by and grab one. Again, free as long as supplies last. Chat with other FxBO members who may be there and make another car friend!

Available as needed
If you are new to Carlisle, need some help, or have questions, stop by and see me at spots E45 & E46. I'll be running around a lot, but my phone number will be posted there if I'm not there. I'm happy to help if I can.

(Richard @69bfan continues to be a great supporter of our sites, he has provided lots of support for the tent every year and has lots of quality parts for our cars. Please stop by and see him at rows H and I, just below building T.)

Carlisle just got a huge storm that dumped through there... It hit us too. I sure hope we end up getting nice weather.
 
One other note. I have had several people ask me when they should bring their items to the FBBO tent.
Please do not bring any items On Friday or before - they will likely get stolen.

Please bring your item(s) Saturday before 11AM to the FBBO tent. Thanks again to all volunteers and donors!

  • Raffle: The Raffle takes quite a bit of time to deal with. It is a fun time, but I would like to ask if someone can coordinate this.

Evening between 5:30 and 6: For those on the grounds (or hanging out) gather to decide what to do for dinner. Barry and I will likely cook something, but we can decide as a group. We are winging it, so join us if you'd like (and are flexible)!

Hey @HawkRod do you still need giveaways?
I am actually not taking my B-Body this year, but coming down in my 68 Fury Convertible. I will have 3 people in the car with me, a tent, luggage and coolers, so space will be tight. Maybe something that doesn't take much space like gift cards from Amazon, Mancini Racing or Classic Industries if they will do them electronically?

I do still need some giveaways, so if you have something that would be greatly appreciated - You can decide whatever and then see me at Carlisle, either by stopping by at my vendor spot (E45/46) or seeing me on Saturday.

All long as we can keep the 5 cars together for the 420 mile ride, we should arrive in Carlisle about 1-2 PM on Thursday.
 
Is anyone up for a contest?
Years back, I heard of an activity that was done at some car shows called the "Loud Mouth Drags".
It consisted of two guys sitting in chairs side by side in front of a loudspeaker imitating the sounds of hot rods running down a dragstrip at WIDE open throttle.
I'd have to admit that I may not be able to compete since my voice is a bit hoarse from a cold I'm just getting over.
Maybe we could have arm wrestling contests or competitions for best hair, nicest beard, maybe a yodeling competition....

The tent is all about a bunch of car guys having a good time. If you want to organize something after lunch - go for it!

Mr. Kern could hold class and give grammar lessons and the proper way to take photos with the cell phone.
 
Blue: Water only. Red: All others.

40 pack fills cooler, will remove some for ice and hold other packs in reserve.
