73 - RR Speedo rebuild

Hi all. The speedo is rattling and needs a rebuild. Anyone with any leads on a good shop to work with? Thanks!

I assume a 73 has a cable? If so try lubing it. It's easy on a 69 and might fix it.

Tried that too 1st. Its the “bearing” in the speedo thats bad. Found a local shop that does rebuilds. Wanting to shop around and compare options.

Southern Cal? Send it to Redline Gauge Works. Had one rebuilt there recently.

Wasn’t anywhere near as long as they told me it would be. They prepared me for about 4-6 weeks as I recall but turned it around in a week or two. Complete rebuild/restoration including artwork both tach and speedo. Did a Speed Hut stepper motor conversion on the tach too.

Last time I contacted Redline I wanted my amp Guage converted to voltage. They wanted the entire cluster sent to them. I didn't want to do that.
