Hello! Does anyone know what the blue rusted piece is called? I ordered a new housing for the water pump for a 383 from Jegs and it didn't come with any. I have some old ones from a older housing but they don't seem to fit the new housing. Thank you in advance!

I’d see who the manufacture is and ask them if the they sell the heater hose water pump nipples.

Sources have already been listed below but, I made a tool to screw them in without surface damage. Just a bolt with a split pin inserted.

Nice little gadget there Mike, I always use a large Snap on blade screw driver and a wrench on it... That was slick idea!

Very nice. I use a small, deep socket that fits inside the nipple, so it does not collapse, and screw it in with pliers/vise grip.
