Wiper Blades

I found my wiper arms. They never had blades on them. They are Anco made in the USA. Were these the originals? Also what type/size of wipers do I need for these? They look like some type of press fit since there are no holes or barbs etc on the end.

Ok after some more research I believe this is called a bayonet and it looks like 15”. It even says 15B on the arm.

Those are the same as on my 69 Coronet and they take 15'' blades.
Yes they are original Anco arms.

Trico makes the "Classic" that should fit those. I've seen them at several parts stores that carry Trico.

I just found in my boxes this wiper blade holder (name?). It looks original? Its made in the USA Anco and stamped with patent numbers and a 15. How hard and costly to find another one of these? What years and models were made like this? Anco was a major wiper company I thought during the 70’s.

Yeah, I remember back in the 70’s gas stations. They would have the Anco or Trico carts. That’s when they used to put gasoline in your car and would put new wiper blades on if you needed them.

I suppose it’s gonna be difficult to find another one of these to make a pair….

The four door cars used a taller windshield so the wiper blades are 16 inches where as the hardtops used the 15 inch blades.

16 inch on the convertibles. The bayonet are all the same. The only difference being the blade itself.

Those are the good blades, but the ones they make now are crap. They're not stainless, but silver painted steel, and the clip is grey plastic. Refills are hard to find, or nonexistent, too, so save your old ones, and try to find refills. I hear big rig truck places sell refills by the foot. Auto parts stores only sell entire blades.

And the ones Classic Industries sells are terrible. They won't lay flat on the glass and the clip doesn't hold off the arm.

Not to long ago I managed to purchase Trico refills that work in our Anco blades. Anco refills were not available. It is also difficult to find the universal snap off refills.

Late last year I got Trico refills from Classic. A little bent from shipping, but they went on great.
