No dipstick on either one. Not surprising. Other manufacturers did away with dipsticks more than 10 years ago.

Dipstick, I don't even know if my 2019 V6 Durango has a Dipstick. It just turn over to 22,000 miles on it and had its first oil change at 500 miles like I've done with every new car I've ever owned. It's had 6 oil changes in 22,000, besides the first one. If it can't last that long without burning up, I don't want it.
 
And they'll come in Green too!

Not that I'm going to buy a 2026 Charger, but I was hoping for the return of a bright yellow color.

I6 are inherent torque monsters. And smooth. Boosted, you can get INSANE numbers out of them. Look up what people get out of the 2JZ. We already KNOW what folks squeeze out of the 'baby' ISB in the Dodge/Ram trucks, but look up some of the ISL and ISX stuff that's in motorhomes.

Remember, the GN absolutely spanked anything on the road when it came out, and with a few easy mods, they still do. Nearly 40 years later. Admittedly a V6...but still, 2 fewer cylinders, plus boost.

Not everything has to be a V8....
 
The old adage is to stay away from new models and new engineering. Let the masses buy them and run them for several years first.... then if they have a good track record consider buying one (new or used) if you still like it. There is a lot of validity to this.
 
Straight 6`s are great motors, I`ve had a few Jeeps with them but they are just not a muscle car V8 and never will be. Why do we buy and drive muscle cars - sure they go fast which is fun but I think the #1 reason is the image - they look and sound cool and you pop the hood and show off that big V8 engine. The new Charger looks decent (I don`t love or hate it) but IMO to have that cool image it NEEDS a V8 not an electric motor or inline 6 no matter how much HP they have - agree?
 
I had this one for a while and sold it to a friend who is still daily driving it. When I sold it last year there were 265k miles on the 4.0 engine.

Disagree.

I'm not into EV, but I spent too much time in the 90s and 00s spanking "muscle cars" with my 4 cylinder turbos, to discount anything that is built right and makes good solid reliable power.

I love my Charger - because it's a Charger. It's a 318 with factory air...and I love it like that. No desire or need to put a "big" V8 in it, the factory one does just fine for me.

... and, none of them sound like a V8.
...because they aren't.

But they still make serious power.

I don’t care for manufacturers slapping a turbo or 2 on any ole 4 or 6 cylinder they have laying around and hoping that it is well built enough for forced induction. I can’t speak for the hurricane, not sure if it was originally a NA engine or not. I have no desire to own one therefore no desire to research that information.

the 6 cyl. has more main web strength than a v8 , now if the rest is up to task , I wouldn't mind having 540 h.p. in my little ram ...

There's only one 6 that I really don't care for all that much and that's the Leaning Tower of Power. Tiny cam, tiny valves and only 4 main bearings. Didn't much care for the 200 Ford either since it was down on power in front of an automatic but was decent with a stick. Only had one Jeep in my life and the only thing I thought highly of the Jeep was the 4.0 that it had. Never had a use for a Jeep except as a play toy. Most of my cars were toys too but not a fan of going off road and yeah, did some of that with the Jeep AND cars. Never had the Jeep catch air but the majority of my cars did lol.

Tried to talk my dad out of buying a new 87 Dakota (first year) because they were an all new pickup. Boy, did that thing turn out to be good! I ended up with it later on and drove the snot out of it before giving it to my father in law in 92 right after buying a new 92 5.2 Dakota reg cab short box with a 3.9 LSD. THAT was a fun little truck and one that I let get away.

Only reason that doesn't happen is because they can't turn fast enough for things to go bad....the highest rpm that I could muster from my 225 was 4800 and at that rpm, it sounded like it was going to come apart lol.
