So I’m down to the last few connections and am a bit confused about these two wires! My print shows both of these going to the brake light switch but the switch only has one connector! Any thoughts? And as always thank you for your support

Your diagram shows 'stop light switch' and 'brake light switch', brake light switch shows one wire. Stop light switch is by your flashers, so not really sure why it's called that.

I’m thinking the one wire is for the parking brake switch

I think your switch is broken....should have two male spade connectors - the pink and white wires take one terminal each.

The brake pedal switch is not a 'grounded' switch - it's a pass-through connection when the contacts are made.

Well after looking at it again I discovered that one of the spade terminals was bent over so I didn’t notice it . Thanks for the advice

Hey Eric, while you’re down there, your gas pedal should be recessed into the heal pad so that it sits flush on the heal pad. You have to cut the heal pad and padding for it to sit right. Rectangle to match the raised area on the bottom of the pedal.

When you look at the bottom of the pedal it will make sense.

I didn’t see the year model of your car but in my 1970 cars, the pink and white do go to the brake light switch. Both of my cars have switches that look like this:
