Country drive in the 68 Charger

Took the Charger out for a drive after replacing one of the rack & pinion bellows boot that had ripped , resurfaced the front brake rotors & put the yellow EBC brake pads on, did a front end alignment , replaced the header collector gaskets & new swaybar link bushings, the yellow EBC pads work AWESOME, I have manual brakes & it cut the pedal effort about in half.

When I moved to NC 20+ years ago, I had all kinds of nice country roads like that to take the Charger out for a cruse. Now with all the construction and "growth"... they're pretty much all gone. Kinda sad actually. I'm literally going to move to get back to some country.

3 years ago we sold the house in Katy Tx , it WAS a small farming town, not anymore !!!!! we bought a house in Pattison Tx 13 miles west of Katy, should have gone much further west, the growth is moving our way MUCH faster than I thought it would, but for now its nice.

Did you notice any difference in performance between the straight and curved stacks? Appears the curved ones give a better view of the scenery

EBC pads....What rotors and calipers do you have?
I'm always interested in improving brake performance.

Yes it lost lots of TQ, I made the short curved ones so I can put on a hood, my local track closed down so no more racing, it only takes a few minuets to change the stacks, for street driving its still plenty fast.

I just have the Dr Diff 11 3/4 drilled & slotted rotors with the large single piston OE type calipers, the EBC yellow REALLY helped a lot over the pads that came with the disc brake kit. I have used ebc on motorcycles a lot for years, they have always worked great.

Thanks, man. I didn't know how wide their applications were for the EBC products. I have the Dr Diff 13" Cobra kit. The EBC pads sound like a nice upgrade for them. Heck, man....we don't drive these cars 30,000 miles a year so why not buy sticky tires and better brake pads ?
It isn't like we will wear them out in a year, will we?
I hope that you're doing well. You used to post a lot on the Charger forum and your absence has been noticed.

I'm sure it is I assumed the power would fall slightly without the straight ram tube effect. I really like your car and appreciate you sharing your cruise.
