Does anyone know if bench seats actually came in a 1968 Charger? If not, do we know what other model car’s bench seat fit fine with custom modification?

I have seen second gen Chargers with column shift and bench seats...but not sure if they were 68, 69, or 70. Someone smarter than I may know for sure.

Any 68 to 70 B body bench seat from a two door model should bolt in correctly. If you have console or buddy seat mounting brackets on the floor they will need to be removed for the seat to bolt in correctly. The 68,and early 69 bench seats will not have headrests, the later 69 and 70 bench seats will. Now the only question I have is why do you want to put a bench seat in a 68 Charger when they all came with bucket seats from the factory?

I totally understand that. But that buddy seat is attractive and a Charger item.

I think in a perfect world I make the 68 Coronet split bench work. Like it a lot.

Bench seats, column shifters and those effing dork dish hubcaps take cool cars and make them look like crap. The buckets and buddy seat option is the way to go in a 68 Charger. Take my advice and never put armour all on that bench seat, I got my former A12 Superbee sideways in the days before seatbelts and I bounced off the passenger's side door, hanging onto the steering wheel for dear life!
