Beautiful time capsule. For me, genuine cars like that push my buttons better than just about anything that’s been redone. Limited exceptions would be your Roach and my Demonstrator.

This is the latest gem I picked up late yesterday afternoon. It's just your basic 318, auto on the column, p steering, manual 10" drum brakes. It has a few flaws, mostly a couple moderate size dents the left rear quarter. I wonder if a paintless dent guy can massage them out, but it's clean and with very low mileage.

Don't know who the original owner was, but the 2nd owner was from Mahopac, NY & he bought it in the spring of 2005. The guy I bought it from locally, just got it to flip. There's a 2005 NY inspection report with the mileage showing 13,793. The odometer now reads 13,856...... 63 miles in 20 years! He got it inspected every year, but apparently he only drove it to the inspection station & back. I have 19 years worth of NY inspection reports, so that pretty much documents the mileage since 2005.

It doesn't need to be restored, but needs a good cleaning, detailing tires and a muffler.

@Richard Cranium, the trunk mat for the Sport Satellite is factory original to the early production cars. I know of three other early production Plymouth B-Bodies with this style trunk mat. The ones that I know about were all built in mid September to mid October and yours is the earliest one that I have seen. I have never seen the material used in the Dodge's so if someone with a very early Dodge could chime in, that would be great.

Unfortunately, the one in my 68 Road Runner was nothing but pieces as it was an ex moonshine car from here in Georgia and saw a rough life. Keith Rohm had a very original 68 GTX with this style trunk mat and as I recall, it was also in the 13,000 mile range when he had it. I think it went to Frank Badalason, but over the years, have lost touch with it.

The material is know as Burtex and was quite common back in the day. It was still available for a number of years, but it did not offer the durability of the rubber mats and thus Chrysler and the other manufacturers moved over to the rubber and carpet mats later on through the years.

Great time capsule for us to learn from, take care of it!!

They look like full wheel covers to me. Personally I would leave the Magnum 500 wheels on it,and drive it. Put the factory wheels and hubcaps on for the survivor tent only.

While the car is a 5-10 footer, the Magnum wheels are 20 footers.

Thanks for the clarification. A lot of the padding is crumbling underneath. I'll probably just leave it as is instead of vacuuming it up. It also has some late '67 parts:
rear view mirror, front seat belt retractors, chrome bucket seat adjuster knobs (one is missing), horn center cap.

I notice that it does not have seat belt retaining clips or a sway bar.
