1967 Dodge Coronet R/T 440 HP
Fully documented. Bill of sale, broadcast sheet, certicard, letter from original owner verifying engine, trans and drive train are original.

I think I have every piece under the car new or factory correct. Gas, brake and cooler lines, gas tank, springs, torsion bars, all suspension parts, factory correct bolt kit etc

Passenger side floor pans, trunk floor and extensions and lower rear quarters replaced.

Time to send her back to the body shop.

This started as a factory restore, but will scale it back a bit.

Has anyone undertaken a similar project on a '67 Coronet. I'm looking for any information and/or advice on the various colors. Interior floor pans, trunk, engine bay, underneath car.

Included is a pic of the car the day it was bought. Also included is a pic of what it looks like today. The car was completely disassembled when I bought it.

I've had the car 8 years, but have not touched it for 6 six years. Other then collect parts.

Any suggestions on buying a factory correct complete interior and exhaust.

Thanks in advance for and input.... I need it!

Great another R/T coming together.

Is that paint code Z gold?

What is the engine and trans? Interior? Tell us more.

Where was the car built? Seventh digit of the VIN

The engine bay, trunk and interior floors were all body color from factory.
The bottom of the car was dipped on primer, then when csr was painted it got overspray on the outer edges.

Legendary has the best interiors.
Accurate exhaust makes a nice stock exhaust system. Have them and like them.

Legendary is the best interior. I used Don's Custom Exhaust, until the old man died. Now I don't know if the quality is the same, but it's an option.

I had Dave Wise do his work up from the broadcast sheet and fender tag.

Built at Lynch Rd

Paint is ZZ1Gold Poly

Interior is Gold vinyl.

Engine: 440V8 1-4bbl 375 hp Magnum

Trans: 395 TorqueFlight automatic

Axel: 408 SureGrip 3.23:1

Red Streak Goodyear Tires

Handling Package : Police 64

I believe my car has a very rare option. Factory antenna on the right, rear fender. I don't remember seeing this on a Mopar. Anyone shed some light on this?

I have looked at Legendary and Accurate. Accurate won't ship out of U S. Not sure about Legendary??

Thanks for the comments!

Canada seems to put the antenna on the right quarter. I don't think that is factory.

Does the tag have anything under the capital R in the second row?

Personally I would like to see the hole in the rear quarter for the antenna. That would tell me a lot about where the antenna was installed. My understanding from hearsay is that the antenna was shipped from the factory to be installed by the dealership in predelivery. I have never had a 67 B body with a rear antenna and would be very interested in weather the hole is the same as the hole in the right front fender. Is it possible that the dealer had a dye to cut antenna holes? I have seen debates on the location of the rear antenna, but never on the position of it on the right front fender. Being the 66-67 antenna is a one piece unit and doesn't have a removable mast, I believe the antenna was factory installed. That still leaves the question of location and who installed the rear antenna.

I highly doubt the dealers had to cut all the front antenna holes. That would mean the fenders would be rusting out where these antenna holes were cut and not painted. And they would be all over the map, not in one place.

That's why I would like to see what the fender tag has under capital R.

These rear antenna cars seem to be sold new in Canada.
How many USA cars has anyone heard of with rear antennas?

My 66 was ordered without a radio but had a factory radio installed and dual quarter panel mounted antennas, but no hole in the passenger fender.

My guess is dealer install.

In That case yes dealer installed. No radio = no hole for antenna in the 60's. The 70's cars had an antenna block off plate for the no radio cars.

The only thing I have ever seen under the R on a 67 fender tag is 1, 2, or nothing. 1= AM 2= AM/FM, nothing = radio delete.

I thought there was a 2 watt and 3.5 or 5 watt AM radio option.

All the AM radios for 67 that I have ever seen were MDL# 230 AM 2 watt, Plymouth and I believe MDL# 232 AM 2 watt Dodge. I'm not saying you are wrong, but just what I have seen.

Wow, great discussion on the antenna. I do believe the hole was punched in the fender at the factory. The hole is perfectly round. I was a mechanic for forty years. No one did that at the dealership with a hole saw or drill.

Interestingly, the bill of sale shows a $10 charge for the rear antenna. So, it either shipped with the car or the dealer supplied it. Seems odd the factory would ship it. Why not just install it.

Under the R in the second row is a 6, but I think that is part of the of P6E for Interior premium gold vinyl buckets.

I love a good mystery.

IIRC it's the top "R".

Fender holes were punched from the factory.

There was a template in the FSM though to drill a hole.

If the hole on the right rear quarter is perfectly round, it's not a factory hole. The holes on the right front fenders were perfectly round with two notches 180 degrees apart so that the antenna assembly could be fed down from the top for installation. The antenna on the rear quarter can be fed up from the trunk for installation. Therefore I would guess that rear antennas were dealer installed. The antenna on the rear requires a much longer cable also. My guess is the $10 charge is for installation of the antenna. Who supplied it, my guess the factory, but anyone know for sure?

I find it comical that he's got a whole car to assemble and we get a bunch of discussion on the antenna.

Certainly a lower priority if it was my project.

I will tell you about my experience with my 1969 SuperBee that I bought new. This could apply to other year Mopars, as well. I bought my SuperBee in St. Thomas, Ontario, after seeing it being backed off the car transporter. Although the car was optioned pretty well, it did not have a radio. When I asked the salesman about the availability of one, he told me the following story.
When this dealership ordered a "Hot Car" (his terminology), for inventory, they never ordered a radio in it. By ordering a radio, the front fender would be punched for an antenna. In this era, rear deck antennae were popular, at least in my area. By paying the $55.00 option price, the dealership would install the radio, and place the antenna wherever I preferred. I marked a spot on the passenger side rear fender, ahead of the Bumble Bee stripe. When I picked up my new puchase, the following Monday, after PDI, the radio and antenna had been installed as requested.

Nothing under the r or the R.

Built without a radio.

Case closed.
