Can anyone tell me what holds the chrome latch handle onto the actual seat back latch of a front bucket seat? It seems like some type of spring clip is needed to hold it on because the latch has a notch in it. See pics below. The application is a '69 Charger but I'm sure they are all very similar. Thanks much!

John

My "69 buckets have a set screw. Or maybe mine are not '69. Old race car brought back to the street. So I am not 100% sure, but they only looked like this for a couple years. Maybe. Mopar did them a couple different ways.

Yea I wish it was a simple as a set screw but, there is no hole in the chrome latch handle for one to go through. I'm about ready to just wedge it on as you mention! Maybe use a wad of silicone to hold it.

Or try a tooth pick as you slide on and if tight then break off remaining tooth pick or if possible drill and add your own set screw
