What's it Worth 65 Sport Fury 426 Max Wedge

I've made lots of low offers through the years and there are sellers who refuse to sell below their purchase price. Some of them hold out for an eventual sale, and some just continue to advertise. It doesn't matter to me as I've never found something I 'have to have'. I just tell them that this is what I have and if you'll take it, I'll be there asap with cash money or, if you prefer, a trip to my bank to draw a c/c. If you think $30k is a deal you'd make, I'd start at $28k to hopefully get there. If they don't counter, which happens more often than not these days, you can raise the ante later. The only way to judge true motivation is to make an offer, then wait. You might be the bird in the hand.

I’ve already decided to offer $28 and not go above $30k. I don’t necessarily have to have this car. I’m shopping and I have plenty of time to find the right car for the right price. I really wanted a 64 street wedge sport fury or a 67 440 charger. While searching I came across this one and originally based on the description I thought it had a true max wedge, now that I know it’s a 440 disguised as a max wedge that kinda makes it a little less desirable for the price, but on the flip side the body and paint appear to be really nice. The seller said there was also a lot of powder coating under the hood. He wasn’t specific, so I’m not sure what he meant. I have another post asking if anyone is close by to the car to look at it. Maybe I will get lucky and a member here will be close by and willing to go look at it.

Thanks for clarifying.
That being said..... I'm critical of whether they are MW heads or not..
There's a pic of a 4bbl intake
They talk about running a tunnel ram
The crossram is a mopar performance piece.
Just leans towards the likelihood that they are stock ports..

So what's a used repro MW cross ram worth? They are $1900 new. So maybe a $1250-1500 intake. And a used gear vendor $2K.

64 Sport Fury 426-S street wedge (B-body)
67 440 Charger

I think either could be had in comparable condition for $30-$40K. If you ever wanted to sell and/or move onto something else, those two would be easier to sell than this modified 65 Sport Fury C-body. And neither of those '64 SF or '67 Charger are quick sells either.

I was more concerned it's a repro NON MW cross ram.
I'm not too up on the values.. I'd put a indy SP on it and enjoy :D
( if it's MW port heads..)

A real 67 440 Charger? Out of 660, not alot left to choose from. Just a hair more than the daytonas

Rare and selling price are two different things. They are worth less than a 68 440 Charger R/T and they made lots more of those. But yea, worth more than a 64 SF 426-S street wedge. But less than a 67 GTX or Coronet R/T.

Agreed, but from what I'm gathering he wants what he wants, not what someone else cares about the value of some other car. I applaud him for that.
My point about the Charger is they are hard to find. No more, no less.

Yes, finding an original 440 67 Charger is not easy, regardless of price. Not sure on 64 SF 426-S production numbers, but they are not terribly high either.

But if the OP wants one of those two cars, focus on those.

This 65 SF is originally a 318 car. If you are going to open it up to non original cars, there are much more 440's added to 67 Chargers and 64 Sport Fury's out there.

Is that Canadian dollars? Seems like cars sell for more up there even factoring exchange rates. Was for sale in May. Has it sold?

The project one for $22K is being sold by dealer that's sometimes isn't very motivated at selling.
I'd assume cad, so 41k usd.
I know nothing about it, just pulled up on grüügle. The red one is a steal, if it's the car you want, and you know what it takes to do, starting with say that project one.

I'm just worried that the two cars listed the OP desires are not a 65 Sport Fury. And if he ever decides or finds a car he desires more, this 65 Sport Fury will be tough to sell to break even. And in my opinion tough to sell relatively regardless of price.
