440 source released a new “m1 inspired” manifold. Has anyone checked one of these out looks promising especially for the price.

Looks good. Good price. Good design. But at least you can find an M1 eventually if you want one. Unlike the 337. They were trying to find a 337 also. I felt it would get a great response since they are virtually unobtanium.

Accidentally visited their website the other day, holy moly they expanded their lineup! You can get pretty much get everything for 440 all from one source !

Back to the op post , it doesn’t look bad , and yeah that price ? Even if it isn’t perfect you get some money left to work on it

They have a rb iron engine block coming out too, 4.600 bore x 4.500 stroke tested so 600 cubic inch

Wish they would have made it with a Square Bore carb flange.
Shows to me they just said copy one 100% that they had on hand and wouldn't put any $$$ investment in an improvement.

Hughes test with a modified spread bore made into a square bore. The modification improves air/fuel mixture. Improves HP.

I think that is a smart move.
Those M1’s worked quite well on a number of applications.
I’ve often recommended people try and round up used ones for their builds.
Now they can just get a new one.

I bet they sell quite a few of them.

I think they would be good for 470-528 stroker motors that are mostly street driven with 500-600 HP.

The curved runners still give it some bottom end and the low height allow it to fit under the hood without too much hassle. Plenty of torque to spare on the street anyways with those strokers.

My buddy welded up the carb flange on a old M1 single plane to make it square bore for a clubmember's new 500" RB. Lot of time to weld and die grind it back.

Motor came out nice. E-brock heads, 440 source rotating assy, 243/247 @050, 518/525", 110 sep, solid Bullet Cam... should be 525-575 HP and has great street manners.

I have a m1 that I bought cheap, set up for a dominator. So I built an adapter to bolt up a 850 4150. Sitting on my super victor at the moment.
I haven't tried it yet. I'm waiting for the head swap first.

I’ve found they work pretty well on the 3.75” stroke stuff as well.
I also wouldn’t be afraid to run one on a hot street/more strip-than-street oriented 383 or 400.

M1 on 440 with a TQ, made 600 hp. Had the 4500 version M1, was able to fit the TQ without an adapter plate. Also put a turtle in the plenum base.
