Right there with ya
Straightening those body lines

I was in the shop about 9 hours today, and the place is trashed........ more of the same, but the end is near.

entire back of the car is ready for initial epoxy prime..........shop and car are too cold tonight, so I blocked out and nitpicked all the bodywork I did up front and on the doors. That stuff will get reprimed/finish primed when I do the rear end.

....... and the Champs won again :D

came back from 19 down, and won on a blocked field goal

Nice progress with your car! Probably hard to concentrate on the work while that game was on! JD's block and run for a TD will be on highlight reels for awhile!

News on your past projects: Barry's 1967 GTX ran!!! We plumbed up the fuel injection, and then temporarily wired a few wires so it would run without a dash in the car: We had a Run/Stop switch and a starter momentary. She fired up first try and ran really well. We also put it in 1st, second and reverse and everything seemed to work well.
Now that most things requiring my lift are done, the car will be moved back to Barry's garage for the rest of the final assembly. Look for it at Carlisle next year!!!

(I took a video, but I don't have a YouTube account so just pretend you hear it running...)

Really Mark, Now I know how those dings got in Jeffs old hood. :poke:

At the rate your going it will be ready for Carlisle 2026

it's not impossible........ the car is rotisserie ready; the underside has already been scraped and blasted. just needs to be freshened up.

maybe I'll get into the dash next

Nice to see it with some paint on it. I know all the bodywork was done, but it seems like such a huge step forward.

Now step away from the watermelon and get back on the pumpkin!

yeah, yeah...... but I loves me some watermelon! :D

huge milestone

Looks great

I have a qt of Eastwood black epoxy, I'm gonna use it to seal up the roof for the vinyl top.......... it'll give me the vinyl effect when I look at the car; sort of a psychological boost

I was ecstatic when I walked in there today........ I could have kicked a few minor things down the road, but I didn't........ it'll be an easy prep and paint when I get to it

I did my Sunday time late last night, after midnight till about 5 AM, so it counts

I managed to remove 36 years of dust and overspray off of my roof.....

I knew I was sitting on what might be the nicest vinyl top roof in existence; one minor dent and a few little pits along the vinyl top seam area on both sides....... that a huge panel I need not worry about

happiness is having multiple colors of epoxy primer on the bench :D

Forget green, you need to paint it silver (my favorite colour) It will really pop with the black vinyl roof and stripe.

Chrysler wisely used that color combo for the GTX in the 1969 sales brochure. However, the green car they used in '68 was sharp looking as well. Personal opinion, but chrome magnums with red lines are the finishing touch with that color, as shown by the '68 brochure car.

Well thats a lucky break, my Charger roof had drive-in movie butt dents and some rust thru holes I had to patch.
Looks great!
