Mold and mildew inside the car

Yes. It’s insulated, I just installed additional seals on the 10 foot garage door to seal that off really tight. The humidity is bad enough my car sweats in the garage without the humidifier.
Curious to know, what did you do for "additional seals" on the garage door? I have always wanted to try to seal mine up better for the winter months.

The garage door already had a rubber strip on the bottom. I kept that in place and then I sealed this to the concrete under the door. I lined it up so the rubber on the bottom of the garage door and that strip below sealed together.

Then I added this to the inside bottom leading edge of the door. The 3M tape didn’t stick very well so I used leftover silicone from the strip above and clamped it to let it dry over night. It’s very pliable so the first few times I closed the garage door I would make sure it was curved toward the inside of the garage and not stuck under the door. After about a week it molded itself correctly and seals nicely when you close the door

That was me, I put 6 mil poly down. The floor will sweat sometimes. I know someone that has access to carpet so I thought about trying some of that.

I used 6 mil poly too. Floor doesn’t sweat with the dehumidifiers. You should be good. Not only will your car love the dehumidifiers your garage tools will too.

Man , I thought that we had more than our share of humidity here. I haven’t noticed any of this mold thing. Get plenty of mice to deal with though.

That’s why I’m not crazy about leaving the windows down.
100% agree. I hade a 67 sport fury that got infested over the winter, All windows were up and they actually ate a hole through the vent window rubber. They also hung out on the visors which were up and ate a hole in the headliner. So beware and store your car over the winter with the visors vertical.

I have some peppermint spray coming. I hear that works good to deter them. I’ll let you know.

Whether a vehicle or a room in the house, we use an ozone generator. We recently found a light on Amazon that screws into a normal 120 VAC light outlet and radiates UV light and ozone. We use that for a myriad of applications, including what you're describing.
I've read articles over the years in car publications cautioning about having ozone producing products in your garage as it prematurely ages your tires. And presumably same with other rubber items. These articles cite fridges as a common thing people often have in their garages that creates ozone. Using an ozone generator briefly to eliminate odors in an interior wouldn't be an issue, but creating ozone in a garage 24/7/365 might well be something that would be detrimental to tires.
