Tail shaft to Mount Bolts

Anyone happen to know the specs of the two bolts that connect the transmission mount to the tail shaft of an A833 OD? I’ve tried a variety that I have laying around and none have done the trick.

My fallback plan is to buy half a dozen different ones from the hardware store and return the ones I don’t use, but I’d prefer not to do that.

Page 21-19 of the '69 manual. Torque is 40 ft/Lbs and IIRC they are 5/8"-16 bolts.

Yup 5/8-16???? You must be working on something a lot bigger than a 833.....

You are right, 7/16-14. Sitting at home for 5 weeks has made my memory crap!!

But they're still 40 ft/Lbs...

Now, if you'd said the bolt heads take a 5/8" wrench.... Which I'm fairly sure is what sparked your memory....
