I am building a roller cam 440. I have a Milodon 32000 windage tray. I’ve not purchased an oil pan, oil pump, bronze gear roller cam oil pump driveshaft. I am putting the 440 in my 1966 Coronet, stock suspension height, stock suspension except 1” torsion bars, possibly upgraded but stock configuration steering. For an engine whose main purpose is hot street use, I wonder what oil pan you recommend that is also compatible with the windage tray that I have. Milodon 30930, 30761, 31580 are contenders, but I am open to other manufacturers. Link to Milodon BB pans is below

I found in an earlier build that this 32000 windage tray is too tall for a stock Chrysler 187 4 quart pan. Need to have something that will accommodate the height of the windage tray. Considering a Milodon pan because of quality and I know they match the windage tray. Thanks for your advice and your experience.

I think the 32000 tray will fit with the 6-pack/hemi 6 qt. pan.

Why not just put a stock 6 qt pan, windage tray and sump and be done with it.

I would go with the 6 quart pan too. I've used that pan on a few builds.
Source?
I have owned this 32000 windage tray sitting new in box for 5 years. I want to be sure that I buy something that works with it.
I do not want to buy and clean a used oil pan.

The low profile 7 quart pan should clear the windage tray, but sits an inch or so below the K-member.
On street engines I usually use the reproduction hemi oil pan and the Plastic JEGs windage tray/pan gasket ($50).

Not sure why Summit is $78, and Mr Gasket is $121 for what looks like the same molded windage tray?

Some stock pan dimensions here for reference......

With the molded windage tray pan gasket, I haven't had issues with it, but some have had leaks.
I noticed the molded seals narrow towards the center after going around the bolt holes, and that the oil pan stamping used to stiffen the rail between the bolt holes might be so wide the seal goes into or right to the edge of where the pan is stamped. I am going to fill the oil pan rail stampings with high heat JB Weld next time, sand it flat, to make sure the molded gasket had a flat oil pan surface to sit on.

Good idea for leak prevention. What gasket did you use?
I can't tell you for sure on that, but for '70--'71, that's what I'm thinking. Maybe compare the bucket dimension of that and your tray.

Check the internal photo here.......
Mopar Restoration Oil Pan

Maybe a 971 if all else fails. I believe some 7qt. pans were based of it.
440 source oil pan looks same as 854 in this Steve Dulcich article, Mopar Muscle Magazine 03-2005
Extra thick steel is a deal maker for me. Don't know of anyone else who offers that.

If I don't have enough front clearance, I can cut the front part of the Milodon 32000 to match the opening in the stock windage tray that is pictured in Dulcich article.
