OK - well scratch that post.Viroqua, Wisconsin
forget the cost of the engine rebuild, 4 grand won't even come close to covering the cost of the "little things" it will no doubt need; gas tank, tires, brakes, radiator recore (if needed), hoses, belts, wires, water pump, fuel pump, clutch, shocks, rebuilding of front suspension, etc.Needs engine done? There is no way to get that car on the road for $3500-$4000 "And be right "
Wait, it doesnt even run? No guarantee all the parts are there? More like 35k or so, depending on what is missing when you take inventory. Guys think you just bolt this crap together and boom, you've got a complete hemi car running and driving, phffft, after 15k in machine work and all the missing parts. Then it still needs the body restored. Rather buy a nice one for 60 or 70k, they come up occasionally.Just in case anybody thought they needed it

I understand where you're coming from. And I am not trying to be an ***. Just be realistic as best I canWhat no on B body realize after 53 years in automotive. Self-employments 35 years of boring honing cylinder work 426 HEMI 426 Max Wedge 440 and my favorite the 343 HP 383. Riverside, Ontario speedway. Like I said a thousand and a 1/2 bore taper on a std block. AS i said this is a good diver car not a trailer Queen.
I'm still trying to get past "hey I bought a new car" and 9 days later "hey I'm selling a car for 20K more than I paid for it"!
Original Yellow car with Green interior based on the first post. Sure you can make it a driver with body and paint the way it is but you ain't putting a Hemi together for 4 or 5 grand, let alone getting a car that was stuffed away for decades back to driving condition in that amount that was painted White for a reason.
I will stop read comments on this website and work on the car keep all the receipt and post when completed.

You're doing the right thing. The car will be way more appealing if it's running and complete so a person knows everything is there. Whatever you spend getting it running you will get back in increasing the value. Good luck with it and I hope you prove us all wrong. If you're like me you'll be spending your time working on it not posting photos of the build, but if you do we'll all enjoy seeing the progress.
Green and yellow....did a model car once with a yellow body and blue accents in the interior lolAnyone miss the first post.. Yellow car with Green interior?!
