I have some 'drill points' for Yankee Automatic Drills. Anyone know what the YAD's are?

Jake had a Yankee screwdriver.....

I'm pretty sure one side on the screwdriver bit is notched to lock itself in place inside the chuck. Mine was only good for a standard and a phillips tip. Forward, reverse, and locked. Great for it's time, but old school. I still have mine somewhere, 1976........
Yessir. It's a novelty, really. I saw it on the table and instantly knew it was the one from Blues Brothers. And for $2? What the hell. I got a new tool and movie prop all in one. lol

Never thought about them being 'automatic'......was thinking an electrical powered machine of some kind lol

My Uncle Alex was a cabinet maker for 50 years... never owned an electric drill. Made everything with an automatic drill.

He who has the most tools at the end wins...

cool screwdrivers, old school,
I'm pretty sure I still have one pigeonholed away somewhere
back when flatblade wood screws/screwdrivers ruled the world

That might be enough to get Mr Cranium worried about his elevator installs....

I bought the exact same screwdriver Elwood has at a garage sale for $2. Works great actually. lol
I just realised that I screwed up - it was Elwood with the screwdriver....not Jake.
