As I continue to dig through the documents and history of the Charger (XP29H) I have found something that may be somewhat unique for a factory ordered big block Charger.
Brief history of this car: Ordered by original owner April 13, 1968 and the car was delivered June 11, 1968. Car was driven by original owner until 1975 and parked with 65K and change on the odometer. Car came with numerous original docs which include warranty and dealership repairs (kind of interesting to see the issues these cars experienced when new). In 2023 a gentleman purchases the car from the estate of the original owner and stores it in his shop. I purchase the car in January 2024.
Here's the unique part (at least to me): The car has only ever been registered as a company car. It was originally titled, registered and driven as a National Window Cleaning Company Car. I wonder how many 68 Chargers were bought and used as a company car. Just thought I'd share this with other enthusiasts. Have a great day!

Great find and great car you got ! But, just because it was purchased under a company name doesn't necessarily mean it is or had been used as a "company car".

That's a whole lot cooler than the company vehicle I had to drive for four years - Chebby S-10 with a 4-banger.

"Hey boy, run over and fix the machine up in Emporium (50 miles away). You can take the Hellcat"

Thousands throughout the years are titled under a company name. The guy owned the company and bought a nice toy. Titled under a company name so he could use it as a tax write off.

Not a Charger, but my 1969 GTX was a company car for the local Plymouth dealer for 15 years. It stayed on the floor plan for three years, until the bank made him purchase it in 1972. It was then titled to the dealership, and still ran dealer plates until it was sold in 1983. When I finally bought the car three years ago, the previous owner had never made the connection that the dealership was the original owner, even though he knew it was a Dealer Demonstrator from the window sticker.

I've talked to several former employees of the dealership who used the GTX to shuttle customers and make parts runs. They were in their teens at the time, and ran the daylights out of the car.

The original owner's son gave me all the documents saved by the dealership, including the original factory invoice, the shipping papers, and the punch card. I already had the window sticker, broadcast sheet, and advance shipping notice. Last week he was digging through old boxes, and found the factory GTX promo car that his dad had displayed at the dealership. He passed that to me as well, with the agreement that his son gets first crack at the car when I'm done.
