LANSING, MI — Local mom Janet Fields has continued her decades-long tradition of making cranberry sauce for no one to eat.

Despite no one remotely considering touching the cranberry dish for the past thirty years of Thanksgiving dinner, Fields remains undeterred.

"Ope! Can't forget the cranberry sauce," said Fields as she began the feast preparations. "Wouldn't be Thanksgiving without cranberry sauce, you know. I love the color it adds to the table, it's so bright and festive. Mm, that smell! You know, I don't actually care for cranberry sauce myself, but it's part of the tradition and it's always gone the next day. Did you know cranberries have flavonoids?"

According to sources, no one in the Fields family has ever eaten a cranberry willingly. "I still do not know what cranberry sauce is made of, and I don't want to know," said Mark Fields. "There is something unholy about fruit that takes the shape of an aluminum can. Yet, there is something weirdly comforting about knowing it will always be there."

At publishing time, Fields had also set out some white turkey meat in case anyone preferred white meat.

I am Blessed more than some with First World Problems mostly. Most don’t have it as easy as me. I have so much to be Thankful for, you don’t have time. That said, we were at Safeway today. A California garbage grocery store. 5 foot Christmas trees with about 6 branches for $149.
Shoppers running thru the aisle in a ******* PANIC. Half seemed to be Insta-Cart or on the job.
A full fledged panic. I can’t wait til 1/5/26. Holidays make people nuts.

Fantastic!! Cranberry sauce is a must have with Turkey. But I and my wife were raised on eating real cranberries cooked into a sauce. A slight comparison would be eating sausages from a can instead of fresh ones on the barbecue
If you come to our house for roasted or barbecue turkey, be forewarned that cranberry sauce with berries will be served . Leftovers will be used in turkey sandwiches and on the side..

What time should we show up for dinner

What time should we show up for dinner
When do want to arrive? In our sphere, we have dinner around noon and supper as an evening meal. But we are old. Sometimes when people say they are having dinner at 6:00pm, I ask did you sleep in? I believe you might have a 67 R/T or 500. You could pick the tail panel up also.

I prefer the stuff in a can but I haven't eaten it in decades.
