Thermoquad Kick Down Spring(s) One or Two?

Found this photo online showing what appears to be two springs on the Thermo-quad kick-down linkage (one green and one reddish). Is that correct or was someone just getting carried away with it all Thank you. P.S. And is the throttle return spring clipped in the right spot?

The throttle return spring is usually hooked on the pin between the U shaped end of the throttle cable.

That's what I thought and what I have seen in the past. The '72 has a extra hole right below and a little forward of where the kick-down rod is attached where I see the spring in the post photo #1. Don't know if the factory put that hole there for the model year for the spring or not.
