1968 Plymouth GTX

Wow! That was quick.

I am trying find an accurate wiring diagram for it, but my searches were in vain. Those boxes do look quite old.

The wiring diagrams I did find, seemed similar in wire positions but the color of the wires didn't match up. Just hate to invest a lot of time in guesswork wiring efforts.

Ordered the wiring harness . When I took the old plug off, it was definitely corroded on the center contact. Thanks again for your help.

Started installing the carpet today.

By the way, this is a dark blue even though in the pictures it looks black.

Question about the new carpet installation on my automatic console.
Does the top edge go under the chrome trim or butt up to it?
Also, I am assuming on the rear piece the vinyl ends are slid in between the metal and console sides. Is this correct?

Thanks.

ACC actually supplies couple pieces of carpet for the sides of the console if you request them... The floor carpet stays on the floor...

Yes, I have the carpet pieces for the console, just wondering how to properly install them on the console?

I am thinking gluing the carpet to the console just below the holes for the chrome trim pieces.

Another question for y'all.

The automatic floor shifter as a small bulb that lights up the shifter position. I am getting power to the console side lights and the reverse light indicator but can't seem to get any power to that small light bulb.

I did check the bulb and it lights up nice and bright.

From what I can determine, there is an orange wire that is supposed to supply the power but I cannot determine where the power source is. Somewhere up under the dash I assume?

Have you check for power with the parking lights on? As theman440 mentioned orange is the dash light circuit... So power up the dash lights...

Yes sir. Parking lights came on but I noticed the dash lights did not.
Well, that's what we call a clue... Check your fuses... The way Mopar did this was the instrument lights are feed through their own fuse.. but that fuse is fed from the parking light fuse.... So the only time it is powered is when the parking lights are on... So two fuses can cause no dash lights... Which clearly the park light fuse is good, but the second fuse is probably not...

Well, a close look at my fuse box indicated some rusted fuse holders. Most I was able to clean up but one of them broke when taking the fuse out.

Anyone have a source for this fuse holder clip? Searching got me to Delmar Wiring but it lists them for a GM car.

Had to order a pack of 10 clips to get the one I need. Just a little over $3.00 apiece when you add in $7.22 for shipping.

Installed the A-pillar trim, rearview mirror and sun visors today.
