I need to replace the windshield in my 67 Charger. The two most popular suppliers seem to be AMD and OER. My research didn't help make a decision on which to go with. The AMD is $341. The OER is $189. But I read many comments that the OER is from China and doesn't fit well. Any suggestions?

I had an OER installed on a different vehicle and as soon as it rained and froze the glass cracked down the middle. Glass shop wouldn’t cover under warranty. Was just over 1 week old…I have been advised by a buddy of mine who is a body man that this is common because of glass quality. Try not to buy offshore junk.

I don’t think there is anything BUT offshore junk for 99% of the reproduction parts. It’s all made in taiwan or china. That said, I have an AMD windshield in my 68 charger. My wife and I installed it together. Went smooth and no issues. It’s been in there 10 years now almost. I bought a set of the suction cup glass holders for installing it.

Got mine from DMT, Precision, although he said they're all made by the same parent company.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll go with AMD. It is thicker glass than the OER.

I’d venture to say their glass comes from AMD.
Yep. Justin got his back glass from ECS for "date correct" etching and would never admit that it was formed incorrectly, just like the one I bought (and sent back) from AMD !

Did you put any sealant on the lower corners? If so what did you use?

Getting ready to do mine soon. I already have the AMD windshield.

Thanks

Looks like this stuff might be a viable alternative?

Fwiw I use CRL 7708 (in place of the 3M 08509 that is no longer available) between the gasket and the car, and Permatex 81730 between the gasket and the windshield.
