I’m asking the Georgia/Mopar community for help.

This 1966 Charger appears to be my vehicle. By appears to be, I mean matching VIN and Tag.

I purchased it from the prior owner, Gary, a few years ago and have documents proving ownership.

It was stored at a shop in Georgia, and when I recently arranged to have it picked up, I was told the shop no longer had it and that it had been towed away with several other vehicles the day before it was scheduled to be transported elsewhere. As the city was the one who originally complained about the project vehicles, they assumed it was the city. As i was not notified nor does the city have it listed as impounded at any point, im presuming it was not taken by the city.

The car is now being posted for sale on Reddit and Facebook Marketplace by this individual, but he has not responded to my messages on either platform. I am currently out of state and am trying to understand what my lawful options are to recover the vehicle.

Is anyone in the Georgia area able to help make respectful contact with him, ask him to respond, or point me toward the right local resources? I am not asking anyone to harass or threaten him. I am simply trying to get communication started and recover my car properly.

This car has a lot of personal meaning to me, and I would deeply appreciate any help, guidance, or local direction.

You should post the VIN.

Have you contacted/notifed Georgia State Patrol?

Do you still have Title & Registration paperwork?

Do you have a Bill of Sale from when you purchased the car?

If he has all the paperwork and knows the car is his and this guy won't get back to him, just report it stolen and tell the police where it is.

Agreed..... "rjmusclecar" in Georgia can't be that hard to track down if you're local..... hopefully this gets sorted out quickly.

Ditto the same Reddit user in the r/mopar sub-reddit.

Well, what needs to be done is that put the guy who has the car in a box for 8988 days for a good beating. OOps, can we say "beating" in this forum?

In fairness to him he might have an abandoned title from the state had the car been impounded and judged abandoned. The "Shop" that had the car dropped the ball.

Im not sure of Georgia State law. But recovery may not be straight forward.
