Replace seat upholstery buttons, 1969 Charger

Too easy. I just reached under the seat and could reach the pin and depressed washer. I crushed the remains of the button with pliers, then cut it down to size with tin-snips and pulled the old button through the underside of the seat cushion. I re-used the depressed washer, but cut a slot...

Replace seat upholstery buttons, 1969 Charger

Guys, One of my seat upholstery buttons has fallen off its metal base with the split prongs. I have some new buttons, but how to fit the button without pulling the upholstery apart? Has anyone done this? Is there an easy way to replace the button? I figured there may be a way just to...

Engine oil dipstick routing on 1969 426 Hemi Charger

Rotating the dipstick to different positions did not work. It can only go in one way to make the first bend. What did work was rounding off the tip of the dipstick with a file, now it goes in easily without catching.

Engine oil dipstick routing on 1969 426 Hemi Charger

I now have the new dipstick and tube assembly. The dipstick is really difficult to insert and extract because the tube curves up, then left, then down before it enters the block. Trying to move a flat piece of steel with a squared off tip through three changes of direction makes it stick and...

Engine oil dipstick routing on 1969 426 Hemi Charger

Guys, Can someone confirm the correct factory routing for the dipstick tube please. The setup on the car had the dipstick tube coming out behind the #3 exhaust tube (ie, behind the second tube on the driver’s side), which had required someone in the past to contort the tube to impossible...

Please confirm the codes on this 426 Hemi block

Guys, I am new to the forum. I have recently purchased a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. Originally, by VIN and fender tag, a 440 4-speed R/T, it was upgraded to a new 426 Hemi, new transmission, new rear end, Hemi K-frame, and all the Hemi reinforcements around 2007-2008. Here are photos of the...
